1. Who We Are

JyotiSoulCode is a trading name of LC Insights LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number available on request). We provide hand-decoded Vedic Astrology and Numerology portraits.

This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. What Data We Collect

a) When you use the Life Path Calculator

If you choose to opt in to email insights, we collect:

• • Your first name
• • Your email address

Your date of birth is used solely for the calculation in your browser and is not transmitted or stored unless you separately commission a portrait.

If you do not tick the consent checkbox, no data is sent to our email platform. The calculator still works - the result is computed locally in your browser.

b) When you commission a portrait

We collect:

• • Identity data: Full name, email address
• • Birth data: Date of birth, exact time of birth, place of birth
• • Payment data: Processed securely by Stripe - we never see or store your card details
• • Strategic Life Questions: The personal questions you submit for your reading
• • Partner/child data: For The Complete Portrait with a Relationships or Children deep dive, the birth details of the additional person

c) When you contact us

If you email us or use a contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.

3. Why We Collect It (Legal Basis)

• • Contract performance (Article 6(1)(b)): To create and deliver your commissioned portrait and to communicate about your order
• • Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): To send you email marketing about your Life Path number and our services. You give consent by ticking the opt-in checkbox on the calculator. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us
• • Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)): To respond to enquiries and provide customer support
• • Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)): To retain financial records as required by HMRC

4. Email Marketing

If you opt in via the Life Path Calculator, your name and email address are sent to MailerLite (our email marketing platform) to deliver a short email sequence with insights related to your Life Path number and information about our services.

You will only receive marketing emails if you actively tick the consent checkbox. We never pre-tick it for you.

Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link. You can also withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@lcinsights.co.uk.

MailerLite is based in the EU (Lithuania) and processes data under the EU GDPR. Their privacy policy is available at mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy.

5. How We Protect Your Data

Your birth data and personal details are treated with the utmost care and confidentiality. We use encrypted storage, limit access to authorised personnel only, and never share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified - the highest level of payment security. We never have access to your full card number.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

• • Portrait data (birth details, charts, strategic questions): Retained for 12 months after delivery to allow for upgrades or follow-up sessions, then securely deleted
• • Email marketing subscribers: Until you unsubscribe or request deletion
• • Financial records: Retained for 6 years as required by UK tax law (HMRC)
• • Email correspondence: Retained for 24 months, then deleted

You may request early deletion at any time (see Your Rights below).

7. Third-Party Services (Data Processors)

We use a limited number of trusted third-party services to operate our business. Each acts as a data processor under our instruction:

• • Stripe - Payment processing (PCI DSS Level 1). Based in the US/EU with Standard Contractual Clauses
• • MailerLite - Email marketing platform. Based in Lithuania (EU). Used to send Life Path insights and marketing emails to opted-in subscribers only
• • Google Forms - Order intake forms for portrait commissions. Data stored on Google servers (EU/US) under Standard Contractual Clauses
• • Google Fonts - Typography delivery. Google states no personal data is collected via the CSS-based font API
• • Tiiny.host - Website hosting

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.

8. Cookies

This website does not use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or advertising pixels. The only cookies that may be set are:

• • Essential cookies from Stripe during checkout
• • A functional cookie from MailerLite if you submit the opt-in form (to prevent duplicate submissions)

No cookie consent banner is required as we do not use non-essential tracking cookies.

9. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:

• • Access - Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• • Rectification - Correct any inaccurate or incomplete data
• • Erasure - Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• • Restriction - Request that we limit processing of your data

10. International Data Transfers

Your portrait is decoded by Sylwia, who may work from the United Kingdom or Portugal (EU). Both jurisdictions maintain adequate data protection standards recognised by the UK government.

Where our data processors transfer data outside the UK, they do so under appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or UK adequacy decisions, in compliance with Chapter V of the UK GDPR.

11. Children's Data

Our services are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Where a parent commissions a portrait that includes a child's birth data (e.g. The Complete Portrait with a Children deep dive), the parent provides this data and consents on the child's behalf.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. For material changes affecting how we process your data, we will notify existing clients and subscribers by email before the changes take effect.
